Wellesley Scholarship Foundation plays a central role in trying to make college affordable for students by providing its own scholarships as well as facilitating those funded by a number of other organizations in town. All of these scholarships are limited to residents of Wellesley.
The primary focus of WSF is upon need-based scholarships. These awards are available to graduating high school seniors and currently enrolled college students with demonstrated financial need. In addition, through the generosity of two longstanding capital gifts, WSF also awards merit scholarships each year to a graduating high school male and female student. These merit awards are renewable for three years.
In addition to awarding its own scholarships, WSF assists with the determination of awards for a number of community organizations. Information on how to apply to these other civic groups is provided in the WSF application
